April 12, 2017

Jim Doherty named EVP of Sales and Marketing and Kevin Fitzgerald promoted to Chief Operating Officer

RESEARCH TRIANGLE REGION, N.C. (April 4, 2017) – Netsertive, a marketing technology company enabling brands and their local retail networks to execute turnkey digital marketing at scale, today announced the promotion of Kevin Fitzgerald to chief operating officer (COO) and the hire of Jim Doherty as executive vice president (EVP) of sales and marketing. The new leadership roles will focus on driving the company’s continued high growth, enabling operational excellence and scaling critical functions.

These strategic hires come on the heels of several company milestones. At the end of 2016, Netsertive reported 400 percent revenue growth over the past three years and expanded its workforce to over 250 team members. The company also signed several new major brand clients in 2016, and reported continued success with top brands such as Serta, Electrolux and Acura. Looking ahead to 2017 and beyond, Doherty and Fitzgerald will be instrumental in driving continued growth and scale for Netsertive.

“Netsertive would not have achieved this level of success without the hard work of our entire team and the leadership of our dedicated management team,” said Brendan Morrissey, CEO and co-founder of Netsertive. “As we enter our next phase of growth and expand our leadership, we look forward to driving the success of brands and their local partners on an even greater scale.”

As the EVP of sales and marketing, Doherty will drive new sales and client acquisition, corporate marketing and demand generation. Doherty has worked with a variety of technology companies over the past two decades, overseeing sales growth, product positioning, marketing strategy, and execution – in both public and private companies. He has held leadership positions at Cisco Systems, Certes Networks, Ixia and Ericsson Mobile.

“What excites me most about Netsertive is that the company is bridging the gap between the digital and physical worlds for several important industries,” said Doherty. “It’s clear that shopping and buying patterns have shifted and it’s critical that brands and retailers adjust accordingly. The ability to deliver collaborative, end-to-end digital marketing technology solutions will be a determining factor in which brands and retailers maintain or gain leadership positions in the years to come. Netsertive is serving this need with a seamless brand-to-local marketing technology solution that enables clients to match changing consumer preferences and behaviors.”

Fitzgerald will focus on operational excellence in his new role as COO, expanding the current client base and centralizing business support. Formerly the EVP of sales, marketing and client success for Netsertive, Fitzgerald brings over 20 years of technology company experience. His past roles include VP Sales and Client Services for PROS and SVP of Sales and Business Development at iContact (now Vocus).

“Our executive team is committed to delivering the technology, team and processes that will allow us to move at the speed of our clients,” said Fitzgerald. “Our heightened focus on operational excellence will ensure best-in-class performance across the organization and enable us to act swiftly and efficiently to meet market shifts.”
