Brendan Morrissey is the CEO and Co-founder of Netsertive. Brendan has 20 years of experience in mobile/wireless, online, telecom and marketing technology environments. Prior to starting Netsertive in 2009, Brendan was VP of Business Development for Motricity, a mobile marketing tech company serving content companies and mobile carriers. Prior to that, he was VP at venture-backed GoldPocket Wireless, where he played a major role in the growth, subsequent sale and integration of the company into Motricity.
Brendan previously held leadership positions at tech startups Nextel Communications & InternetConnect, as well as global consultancies KPMG (BearingPoint) and CSC Consulting. Brendan also serves on the board of Band Together NC, which is a volunteer-driven non-profit with a mission to use live music as a platform for social change.
Brendan received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in Economics. A varsity rower in college, he’s currently obsessed with his family and single-track mountain biking.
Steve’s mission is to drive continuous innovation around Netsertive’s Digital Marketing Platform. For the past 20 years, he’s played a key role in the development of software platforms designed to support the growth and demand of global enterprise brands. In 2004, he founded GoldPocket Wireless, one of the first companies to launch shortcodes. GoldPocket was later acquired by mobile software platform provider, Motricity (now Voltari). Steve served as General Manager for Motricity, leading the development of a content management platform used by many of the top media and entertainment brands in the world. Most recently he was the Chief Operating Officer at Bandwidth (NASD: BAND) leading the company’s strategy and growth from a startup to a recognized leader of the CPASS industry and eventual IPO in November of 2017.
Steve’s prior experience developing software platforms for handling large-scale network and data system management is a key factor in his ability to help shape the future of Netsertive’s product vision. He spent much of his early career as a software developer writing code for platforms ranging from financial reporting to interactive television.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, cum laude, from Stonehill College in Massachusetts. He spends his free time with his wife and three children, cheering for various Boston sports teams.
Mark Van Osdell leads Netsertive as CFO responsible for finance, administration and legal affairs. His motto is “Simplify, simplify, simplify.” Mark has over a dozen years of corporate finance and technology experience in high growth companies and served as Motricity’s Director of Finance contributing to high-profile finance and operations areas. In his tenure, he has served as a controller for a multi-location retailer and managed treasury and risk functions, including debt and equity funding. He was involved in raising over $200 million in venture capital while building operational processes for scaling. He also was an analyst consultant for NC State University’s technology transfer office, coordinating with venture-backed startups.
Mark has a BS in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration from North Carolina State University. To prove he’s not completely left-brained, he once climbed Pikes Peak in January – in shorts – and plans to buy another motorcycle very soon.
A successful entrepreneur, Bill has amassed over a decade’s worth of e-commerce and online marketing knowledge. He steers client campaign performance processes, working closely with the client services & product teams.
In the past, Bill was the President of Cordless Workz, an online e-commerce business that provides consumer electronics to consumers, he was a Co-Founder of multiple specialty e-commerce websites – built & implemented the online marketing growth strategies and he developed early Internet expertise by establishing Siemens Mobile’s US online presence in e-commerce & online marketing.
Bill holds a BS in Engineering and Management from Clarkson University. In high school, Bill was an alpine ski racer; afterwards, he worked for a ski boot company. Today he settles for hiking and biking with his family in the mountains of North Carolina.
Jim Doherty serves as Netsertive’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He has over 17 years of engineering and marketing experience across a broad range of networking, security and technology companies. With his strong focus on technology strategy, product positioning and marketing execution, Jim has held leadership positions at Cisco Systems, Certes Networks, Ixia, and Ericsson Mobile.
Doherty is also the co-author of the “Networking Simplified” series of books, which include SDN and NFV Simplified, Cisco Networking Simplified, and several other titles. Jim is a former U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant and holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from N.C. State University and an MBA from Duke University.
Bob Seaton leads our worldwide team of engineers, architects and data scientists building the next generation of marketing technology solutions in the brand to local space. With more than 20 years of experience delivering business-focused technology solutions and over 15 years experience leading software architecture and development teams, Bob is a seasoned leader in the technology space. Before joining the Netsertive team, Bob served as the CTO for Etix, responsible for the technology strategy and execution to support international ticket sales. Bob has also built and led product and technology teams at PayPal, Visa, Globeset, and Motorola.
Bob received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Mississippi State University and named inventor on 15 patents. One of Bob’s many non-technical passions is for homeless issues, serving Family Promise in Raleigh, Habitat for Humanity, and serving on the board of Austin’s Foundation for the Homeless.
As VP of Client Sucess, Andrew is responsible for ensuring positive client outcomes and client success at Netsertive. With 21 years of experience, Andrew has run the gamut; from working on an Alaskan cruise ship to email marketing and financial services, he is diverse and talented. Andrew has been involved in three start-up companies and has gained 13 years of management experience.
Andrew holds a BA in Political Economy from Skidmore University and an MBA from Wake Forest University. As a youth, he witnessed the biggest debacle in sporting history. During Game 6 of the 1986 World Series, Bill Buckner of the Boston Red Sox missed a ground ball. This experience inspired Andrew to always keep his glove to the ground and to not let anything roll between his legs.
Debbie leverages 25 years of human resource and business experience to lead development and execution of the people & talent strategy, including hiring, training & development and organizational planning. Debbie believes strongly that the team members are her customers and her job is to make Netsertive stronger every day. Before joining Netsertive, Debbie was the VP of Human Resources at Health Decisions, a specialty CRO providing clinical development services for bio-pharma companies worldwide. In addition, she was the VP of Human Resources at Digital Safety Technologies, a leading provider of mobile video surveillance technology. Previously, she held several other senior human resources roles in high growth tech companies such as ChannelAdvisor and Tangram Enterprise Solutions.
Debbie has a B.A. degree in Psychology from Carson-Newman College as well as her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification. Debbie and her family enjoy traveling. Just ask her how many times she has been across the U.S., hiking and camping the many national parks along the way.
