Netsertive

Hi everyone! I'm Caroline Willard, a rising junior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am an Advertising major and also minoring in Entrepreneurship. This summer I am a Marketing Intern on the Netsertive Premier Team! As of right now, my responsibilities and tasks are shifting, but I am currently really focused in better understanding SEO and SEM from a corporate standpoint and Premier as a client. The Marketing Team has asked me to complete this Q&A to help better introduce myself.

Why Netsertive?
Initially, I was really attracted by the unique value proposition of scalable localized marketing. I had never really seen or heard of anything like it so when I was looking for summer opportunities, I really was interested in getting involved with a company that is doing something truly interesting and different.

How do you spend your free time?
I love to go on walks, go to the pool, watch weird documentaries, and spend time with my two cats, Salem and Bernie.

What are you most excited to learn during your summer internship?
I am really excited to learn more about SEM and just the all-encompassing intricacies of a digital marketing account. I am excited to get to unpack all there is and dabble in all parts along the way.

What aspect of marketing would you say is your favorite?
I really love how you put in work and are able to measure the results. Coming from a public relations background, I really like how objective measurement of success is and how you can really tell if you have made a difference. PR is a little too subjective for me so I am so glad to be gaining experience in marketing!

How would you explain digital marketing to your grandparents?
Well, my grandparents are surprisingly tech and business savvy, but I would explain it as the many ways to accomplish client goals and gain company exposure through paid media.

When someone says marketing, what are three words that come to mind?
Thorough, Result-oriented, and Purposeful.

What was your favorite thing about your first week at Netsertive?
The company culture is so inviting and friendly! I felt very at home even from the very beginning.
